SS Sketch Pearl

These are just the rough sketches of the girls from book 1. I've been putting off posting them until I had all of them done.

Pearl

Again, didn't really know what I was doing here. I knew Pearl was "cute" as a kid, and grew into something pretty as she aged. After that, I got nada.

And straight-up ears looked horrendous when I drew them. As I said in Mara's pic, I suck at drawing furries.

So we went with bangs and a face-shape similar to ChibiUsa (Hey, with the name, it fit!), and ears shaped similar to Cream's.

Her outfit was going to be overalls, but for some reason it looked a little too Miyazaki for what I wanted Pearl to be. So she got a striped shirt and fatigues. She's holding a wrench in this one because ... well, frankly, after drawing Tiara, I was SO DONE with that damned scythe.

Pearl is the white crystal knight. Weapon of choice is a scythe. Special attack is Wind Dance. (Yes, her older form will appear later. Probably with the pics of the girls from book 2.)
